Updates are lacking

Hello Readers,

Sorry for my lack of updates. It’s not that I don’t have tons of things to write about, but instead (and as usual) it’s my lack of time.  I’m currently training 3-A-DAYS, as I usually do in the summer, except the past few weeks have been incredibly difficult.  A couple weeks ago I had a severe allergic reaction to ragweed while out at Pioneers Park trail running; it was so bad every square centimeter of my body had at least 3 hives, I even had to go to the hospital to get an epinephrine shot.  The next day my car was slammed by a shopping cart in the 40 mph wind gusts.  Then (the next day again) I was hit by a car while longboarding in a UNL parking lot.  Then two days later I had an epic longboarding crash while bombing a hill at 25 mph (that was a week ago this past Sunday).  I’m still 10% covered in road-rash; YUM!

Over the weekend I recovered my back pay from the company in Omaha that I was contracted with.  The guilty party will remain nameless as I don’t want to do any sort of endorsing or advertising for them and their evil business practices.  I will say QCS can suck it! Wait. What?!  So with getting paid over the weekend, and with my recovery from crashing, I’ve been quite busy (at a slow pace b/c of my injuries) … busy with errands and getting all of my very extremely late bills caught up.  When your pay is held back from you for 3 months, the late-bill-effect is expected.  Not to mention training.  Right now my current schedule follows a pattern similar to this: eat, train/train (brick), eat, nap, eat, train, eat, rinse, eat, sleep; repeat.  Occasionally, I fit in some work and/or meetings; church; hanging with friends in the evening; and enjoying my weekends (when I’m not working during them).

2AM is fast approaching (aka: my late-bedtime; no naps today).  I felt that an explanation was necessary for my lack of posts.  Again, I have lots to write about, I just need extra time.  I’ve been “fielding” a lot of training/nutrition questions that I want to cover in a couple posts; plus some of my friends are doing some crazy stuff; and I have to get my last few SMALLVILLE episode/season reviews posted (the season finale was brilliant, well, sort of…).  Oh, and I really need to finish my “suffering/missions” devotional that I started before the Spring semester ended.  Oops!

Alright gang, please forgive me, and God bless each of you!
